Sean Hurst
Sean Hurst started training in Kosen Judo at the age of 6 years old; around the same time his father started teaching him boxing, Foil, Saber, and Epee fencing. At the age of 12, Sean Hurst started studying Shorinryu from sensei Robert Scagleone. Sean received his green belt in Shorinryu at which time he also started studying Win Chun King Fu. When he moved to college in 1999, he was exposed to Jun Fan Jeet Kune Do, Kali, Eskrima, Arnis, Silat, CSW, BJJ, Muay Thai where he studied at Peacock’s academy of martial arts. Sean continued his training in the military in 2001 and was asked to train soldiers for the United States army’s 10th mountain division and members of TF-121 after returning from combat in Afghanistan and Iraq, Sean opened up his own school where he taught Kali, JKD, and CSW. He has studied with grand master Tom Sipin in the Doce Pares method of Eskrima, Lavon Martin in Inosanto La Coste Kali, he has logged over 70 hours training with legendary Guro Dan Inosanto. He has also trained with Eric Paulson under which he holds student level 5 in CSW, Kenny Berry under which he is an associate instructor/Guro in Kali and Sifu in JKD, Brian Gerona, and the world famous Rico Chiapparelli. He has been certified as an amateur boxing coach and judge by United States amateur boxing association, and Certified by Kimber Hill as a instructor in Century Lil’ dragon program.
Joseph Turner
Joseph gained an appreciation for the martial arts early in his life from boxing lessons given to him by his father. He then trained in freestyle wrestling through his high school years and at the age of seventeen in 1994 began studying Aikido under the direction of Grady Lane Sensei. Soon after, Sensei Lane introduced him to Dr. H.T.Walker Sensei and he began training intently with both of them while also attending seminars on a regular basis. Joseph has visited the New York Aikikai numerous times for extend stays and in 1999 after a year long stay as an uchi-deshi [live-in student], he received his black belt from Yoshimitsu Yamada Sensei, a direct student of O Sensei for more than ten years, an 8th degree black belt and the chief instructor at the New York Aikikai. Mr. Turner has also trained with many other instructors such as Seiichi Sugano, Ichiro Shibata, Alan Drysdale, Donavan Waite, Clyde Takeguchi, Peter Bernath, Harvey Konigsberg Claude Berthiaume, Steve Pimsler, and Douglas Firstone to name a few. Over his years of Aikido training, Joseph has been exposed to many other martial arts and combat styles. He gained extensive training in judo and various forms of ju-jitsu through exchanges of information in cross-art research.
Currently Joseph Turner studies Filipino Martial arts and Jun Fan Jeet Kune Do Concepts under the guidance of Guro Sean Hurst and Guro Lee Peacock, and Muay Thai under Khru Tom Burke. In those disciplines he's earned Taga-Pagturo (~2nd degree Black Belt) in Kali, Sifu-affiliate instructor in JKD and Combat Submission Wrestling Student Level 4. He currently holds the rank of nidan [2nd Degree Blackbelt] within the United States Aikido Federation and is one of the Instructor's of Tribe-K Jacksonville.
Autrelle Holland
Autrelle Holland has been studying martial arts since 1989, beginning with T'ang Soo Do under Song Ki Pak. In 1994, he started training in Aikido under Chris Rozett. He is currently graded as a 2-Dan black belt holder under Takashi Ishikawa's Misasagi Kai federation, which is recognized by the Aikikai Headquarters. Over the years Autrelle has continued to add to his knowledge by studying Jiu Jitsu under Thomas Asher, Wing Chun Kung Fu under Travis Taylor, and Kali under Joe Stores. Autrelle has trained with and attended seminars by a number of different instructors in various arts over the years. Most notable are Peter Bernath, Penny Bernath, Grady Lane, Thomas Huffman, Troy Ferguson, T.J. Cooper, Mike Sands, Dee Seebolt, Perry Lambert, Katrina Reti, Ward Wilson, Patricia Hendricks, Stephanie Yap, and Anthony Arnett. His current practice emphasizes the high technical skill of throwing and receiving throws, realistic application and practice of Aikido techniques, and integrated weapons practice. He continues to study Kali and under the direct tutelage of Guru Sean Hurst.
Anthony Peters
Anthony Peters has had a combination of 5 years experience in Mixed Martial Arts. His specialty is stand up fighting specify Mauy Thai in which he holds a Level one (of which there are only 2 levels)but is highly competent in both the ground game and with weapons. Mr. Peters holds a student level 4 in Combat Submission Wrestling and has competed in national level NAGA tournaments as well as assisting Coach Sean Hurst in training(as a sparring partner)for several Cage fighters. Some of the disciplines that he has paid particular attention to are Muay Thai, Boxing, Jeet Kune Do, Savate, Kali, Eskrima, Arnis, Krav Maga, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Catch-as-Catch-Can Wrestling, and Judo. Recently he has received his apprentice instructorship in Kali and related arts under Guru Sean Hurst.
Anthony Peters has also studied under Mangulang na Guro Dan Inosanto, Guro Lee Peacock, Khru Tom Burke Rico Chiapparelli, Erik Paulson, and Grand Master Tom Sipin, Mark Mc fan, Guro Kenny Barry, and Guro Brian Gerona. However, with each teacher came a better understanding of what elements of teaching worked best for the students. With that he has created his own style of teaching that focuses on giving students an understanding of how basics and advanced technique work together to form a complete fighter who is unique unto himself.
Cameron Smith
Cameron Smith began his martial arts training begining with Greco-Roman wrestling at the age of 14, and the art of Tae Kwon Do and Hapkido at age 15(and attained the rank of purple belt before moving to North Carolina). At the age of 18 he joined Revolution Martial Arts, a school taught by Coach Sean Hurst, and studied the arts of Muay Thai, Boxing, Jeet Kune Do, Kali, Eskrima, Arnis, and CSW. While at Revolution, Cameron had the added priviledge to train with and be taught by men such as Guro Marcelas, Guru Brian Gerona, Joseph Turner and Anthony Peters. Cameron has been instructing a class in Tampa Bay Florida since July of 2007, and has a passion to share with others the gift of self defense that Coach Sean Hurst has graciously taught him.
Luis Cruz
Luis Cruz Jr. has been a a true warrior for peace for years. He has been an active member of The Guardian Angels since 1984. His past martial arts experience includes Tae Kwon Do, Isshin-Ryu Karate, and Kempo Karate. He is the Leader of the Jacksonville chapter of The Guardian Angels. Currently, he is an instructor in Tribe-K's Civilian Close Quarter Tactics course, a curriculum designed for everyday self-defense and future Guardian Angel volunteers. He is studying Kali, Jeet Kune Do Concepts, and Aikido directly under the head instructors of Tribe-K.
